How are the urine and stool samples collected?
Home-based: Once your appointment is confirmed, the specimen containers will be mailed to your home address. The package will take up to 5 business days to arrive.
- Stool samples may be collected on the day of or one day before your appointment. If you are collecting your sample the day before, do note that you should keep the sample in your fridge overnight.
- Urine samples must be collected on the same day of your appointment. The sample should be collected 'mid-stream' to reduce the risk of bacteria contamination; and should fill more than half of the container. Our DA staff will collect your samples on the day of your screening.
In-clinic: If you have opted in for a urine and/or stool test, the specimen containers will be provided to you on the day of your appointment.
- If you are unable to produce the required samples during your appointment, you can drop off your samples at the clinic on another day when they are ready. Please only provide same-day samples.
Can I do a health screening if I am having my period?
